The Kick Feature: For Clear Rule Violations
The kick feature should only be used when a participant is clearly breaking the rules. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Not showing their face in a face room
• Using hard drugs
• Any breach of Batemates’ Terms of Use
Kicking someone out should never be based on personal preference, attraction, or taste. It is a moderation tool, not a way to curate the room. Not your type, Thats okay- they might be someone else’s.
Zero-Tolerance Violations
Certain behaviours are not tolerated on Batemates and will result in an instant ban, not just removal from a room. These include:
• Insults, stereotypes, or dehumanizing language
• Hateful symbols or speech, or inciting fear against any group
• Any sexualization or exploitation involving minors
• Threats of violence or glorifying harm
If you encounter this type of behavior, it should be reported immediately.
The Hide Feature: For Personal Preferences
Not everyone in a group room will be your type — and that’s okay.
If someone isn’t breaking any rules but simply doesn’t match your preferences, there’s no need to remove them from the room.
The hide feature allows you to hide a participant only for yourself, without affecting the rest of the room, so you can continue enjoying the session without disruption.
The Mute Feature: For Minor Disruptions
Sometimes participants can be distracting, overly loud, or disruptive without actually violating the rules. In these situations, the mute feature is the best option.
Muting helps keep the room comfortable and enjoyable while avoiding unnecessary kicks.
Using the Right Tool Matters
Each feature exists for a reason:
• Kick for clear rule violations
• Hide for personal preferences
• Mute for minor disruptions
Using the right tool in the right situation helps keep Batemates group rooms fair, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone.
