For this reason, we have recently made an important change to the platform: photos posted by users on Batemates are now visible only to Premium members. This update applies to all photos, except profile pictures which remain visible to all members.

Photos shared on Batemates are personal and, in most cases, intimate. Even when they are light-hearted or playful, they represent real people choosing to trust a platform and a community. Allowing unrestricted access to this kind of content increases the risk of misuse, including viewing by people with no genuine interest in the community, or engaging in voyeuristic and disrespectful behaviour.

By limiting photo visibility to Premium members, we significantly reduce these risks. Premium membership introduces an additional layer of accountability and commitment. Users who choose to support Batemates are far more likely to share the values that define the platform: respect, consent, discretion and care for others. In our view this creates a committed environment where members can express themselves with greater confidence, knowing their photos are being viewed within a community that understands and respects boundaries.

Batemates was not born to be a public photo gallery or a platform for content scraping. Batemates is meant to be a committed, consensual space for like-minded adults who value privacy and trust. By making user photos accessible only to Premium members, we are investing in the long-term health of the community and in the trust our users place in us.
